Hi, I'm Umair 👋

Software engineer, about 10 years in. Most of my work has been on the backend half of the stack — Ruby on Rails monoliths and the queues, workers, databases, and sync pipelines that hang off them — making them faster, safer, and a bit nicer to work in. When a feature needs the React or GraphQL side too, I ship that as well.

I like working with people who care about the product, and I try to be one of those people too. Most of what I'm proud of, I shipped with a team.
