Hi, I'm Umair 👋

Backend engineer, about 10 years in. I spend most of my time inside Ruby on Rails monoliths and the systems that hang off them — queues, workers, databases, sync pipelines — making them faster, safer, and a bit nicer to work in.

I like working with people who care about the product, and I try to be one of those people too. Most of what I'm proud of, I shipped with a team.
